About SA Supports MWB

As more and more HIV-infected parents die, the burden of caring for millions of orphans will fall upon countries already stretched to the breaking point.

Thousands of children end up on the streets of major cities, sleeping on the hard, cold ground and digging in trash cans or begging alone.

When asked what is the hardest part about living alone, a thirteen year-old boy living on the streets of Zambia told us, "I don't have anyone to love me or protect me or help me. I am always alone."

Our purpose at Mothers Without Borders is to address the needs of orphaned and abandoned children in a holistic manner. We support efforts to provide safe shelter, education and access to caring adults. We want to assure each child has someone who cares about them to teach them of their value.

San Antonio Supports Mothers Without Borders is a group of individuals in San Antonio, Texas who plan and carry out local fund raising events to support the vision and mission of Mothers Without Borders. You can read all about our current fundraiser, A Night in Zambia here. "We envision a world where children are safe and loved, understand their value, and are given opportunities to thrive, grow and contribute to their world in meaningful ways. We envision a world where children's voices are heard–where caring adults join together to provide access to clean water, nutritious food, safe shelter, and education for all children, especially those who are alone and without advocacy."
